Have a Heart for Horse’s – Hope’s Legacy

Sunday, February 14th 2016 - 6:00 pm
at King Family Vineyard
6550 Roseland Farm

Hope’s Legacy will host “Have a Heart for Horses” Benefit Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at King Family Vineyards in Crozet, VA. The event will feature dinner by Harvest Moon Catering, drinks, a silent auction and dancing with music by Charlottesville’s favorite super 80’s bluegrass hits machine, Love Canon.

Established in 2008, Hope’s Legacy is a non-profit all-breed rescue working to save horses, mules and donkeys from a variety of situations including, but not limited to: abuse, abandonment, neglect, slaughter. In some cases, owners can no longer care for these animals. Hope’s Legacy steps in to find new, safe homes.

Most recently, the organization has taken on the care of many horses from the Peaceable Farm case in Orange County. Caring for 35 horses, which more than doubles the total number of horses that Hope’s Legacy usually oversees, the rescue is forced to increase its fundraising needs. Looking towards the future, Hope’s Legacy is looking to find and secure property to accommodate their current horses and future rescues.
