Vacate or staycate?
Vacate or staycate?

I just got back from a week’s vacation, or I should call it a “staycation.” Maybe I’m lazy, or maybe I’m cheap… probably a little bit of both, but the past few years I’ve had a tendency to stay at home for vacation.

It certainly wasn’t a wasted week! I cleaned out and organized my garage, getting rid of some items that I had absolutely no use for that had been accumulating. I went through the house and cleaned all the carpets which I like to do on a regular basis, but there are too many other things that need to get done on the weekends. I also took my car in for service, a task that I had been putting off for several weeks because of the inconvenience.

So that’s pretty much the extent of my “staycation,” but it took a lot of weight off my shoulders and I came back to work yesterday completely relaxed.
