The most recent Republican nominee for President will help U.S. Senate hopeful Ed Gillespie raise money. Mitt Romney will host a dinner and reception for Gillespie in New York City on Tuesday. Ed Gillespie (pictured) was an advisor to the former Massachusetts Governor during the 2012 election cycle. Gillespie and three rivals are competing for the right to carry the GOP banner in Virginia’s November 4th Senate election. They want to unseat freshman Democratic Senator Mark Warner.
