In the wake of Ed Gillespie’s decision to run for the U.S. Senate, another candidate has dropped out. Howie Lind, a retired naval officer who lives in Centreville, says his ability to raise money stalled after Gillespie announced his candidacy. Republicans will hold a June 7th convention in Roanoke, where someone will be nominated to challenge freshman Democrat Mark Warner.
